Can i trade in?

a car that isnt financed yet we bought a used car but another car dealership is willing to give us a new car can i trade in the used car we just got that isnt financed yet

Can i trade in?

You cannot trade in something you don%26#039;t own. If the used car is being financed then you don%26#039;t own it.

EDIT: The debt of the Used car must be satified and paid off for a transfer of title to work out , so I suppose the new dealership could pay off the debt to gain the title on the used car as some part of a deal to convience you to buy a new one.

Can i trade in?

You need be informed when going to trade in your car to a dealer. If you are not certain of the value then you can be at a disadvantage.

Dont be suprised if a dealer makes a terrible offer. It%26#039;s not hard to get a quote online to check how much your car is worth. I have recommended http://tradein.123thebest.info - Good luck.

Can i trade in?

Dear god NO do NOT do this.

you JUST got this car - and you have not even made the frst payment? I have to say that you shoulld have shopped a LOT more if you are already considering trading.

right now, you owe absolutely the most you will ever owe on that car. I don%26#039;t know if you put any cash down or not. But lets say you did. If you try to trade now, you will have flushed that down payment down the toilet.

Your car that you just bought is not worth what you owe. They never are. Dealers have to make a profit on the sale, so you are upside down by at LEAST whatever the dealer profit was. If you did not put any cash down, you are upside down for the value of taxes, dmv fees, etc. If you bought extended warranties, LoJack, sealant or anythign else in the finance box, you owe for that too.

right now, at this point, you are just about as upside down as you will ever be on this car. Trading it now would be the worst financial move you can ever make.

DO NOT TRY TO TRADE THIS CAR! you should have shopped more. And why were you still shopping AFTER you had signed any way?

I know this is not the warm fuzzy answer you want to hear. But as a professional in this business, I have to stress that this is a terrible idea, and one that will put you on a road to financial disaster. Please, do not consider this any further
