I%26#039;m from milwaukee, and in the past six years, I bought two cars. I found both of them at www.autotrader.com. Both came from the chicago area, the first was an %26#039;84 volvo 240. it had 118,000 miles on it when I bought it, and had very minor problems with it for five years, it still runs fine, wisconsin winters rusted it out though. The other is an %26#039;88 honda, runs like a champ. I paid 1,100 for it, and maybe put 600 into it aside from new tires. look for an older car, that runs exceptionally well (no shakes in the steering wheel when going highway speed, no squeaks/ ticks/ noticeable leaking oil/ fluid in the engine/ under the hood, a solid exhaust, and decent tires are some good things to check out when looking at a car.
